Description of the offer
Arcano Partners is an Alternative asset manager with €10bn AUM based in Madrid and with offices in the US and Italy. We are currently looking to expand our Credit business by launching a premier CLO platform with initial capital available to complete transactions up to €2bn. We are seeking an individual to be the lead at the CLO Originator entity based in Ireland. The role would include: management of all operations (e.g. defining the processes, loan settlement, working with third party stakeholders), working directly with the Board of Directors (either as a board member or otherwise) and acting as an execution trader. As the primary employee at the entity, the individual must be independent and entrepreneurial.
Responsibilities
- Definition and implementation of CLO front-to-back office operations and workflows.
- Interaction with technology platforms providers for CLOs (i.e. WSO, Allvue, etc.).
- Perform daily portfolio reviews and reconciliations with the Trustee and administrative providers.
- Reconciliation of monthly CLO reporting and quarterly distributions.
- Closely monitor deal and warehouse cash balances, perform calculations for warehouse fundings and prepare drawdown requests.
- Involvement in new issue CLO warehouse management, closing date, and effective date processes and ongoing coordination with audit and tax teams.
- Run hypothetical trades to ensure compliance with CLO indentures and support investment team.
- Working with fund accountants, closing team and administrators to resolve any bank loan related inquiries or discrepancies.
- Involvement in the Board of Directors, including acting as a board member of Risk Retention vehicle (“Company”).
- General Company oversight, including ensuring that its records are consistently kept up.
- Manage all office facilities and “day-to-day” suppliers (IT support, logistics, rentals, etc.).
- Act as an execution trader and loan closer working closely with trading team/external counterparties and Madrid based operations team.
- Involvement in the Board of Directors, including acting as a board member.
- Liaise with Collateral Managers to add approved assets to forward sale agreements.
- Review if any proposed CLO asset meets Origination Criteria established by Board.
- Carry out additional research (if determined by the Board) on Proposed CLOs assets.
- Seek out suitable assets for the Company’s General Credit Business and present relevant ideas to the Board.
- Presenting ideas for supporting Company’s decision-making activity and carrying out all such actions necessary to ensure that the Company maintains originator status.
- Support Capital Markets/Structuring team in CLO transactions, including new issues, resets, re-issues & refinancing’.

Technical Requirements
- Minimum 3-years of CLO Operations experience (valuable also previous experience in Banking, Audit and Fixed Income)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge of CLO Monthly Reporting, Quarterly Waterfalls, and deal indentures
- Experience with technology solutions platforms for CLOs (i.e. WSO, Allvue, etc.)
- Comfortable with cash and position reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills
